How do they even begin to "assess" the state of these cats?
What clues will they be looking for?

Really sTOWIE?
Tell that to abused men or women, they have as much chance as a cat, and a cat has claws to at least do some damage, we'd have to hope to have a weapon at hand....nature is about a pecking order and that includes us humans.

It's all about proportionality, making the punishment fit the crime, in terms of severity, not poetic justice.
If you want poetry too, give him 30 hours community service working in a cat rescue centre.

"racism.....because a human beings feelings or physical/mental welfare is higher up the punishment scale than an animals...…"
and fwiw, completely disagree with that. Human beings have the ability to defend themselves. Beating up a cat is just about as cowardly as it gets.
Still, my feelings and my mental health have been hurt by how fucking stupid he is for having his equally stupid brother film it and share it - presumably because the pair of them think its funny - on SNAPCHAT or whatever it is these morons use. What do i get by way of compensation?

How many people, other than the fringe lunatic pitchfork social media mob – and maybe the odd, not-very-credible journo looking for clicks – have actually realistically called for him to be sacked?

SoH - Exactly.
Antonio has a very valid point, he just used racism as an example.

It's not whataboutery from Antonio, it's him simply stating if you are going to start calling for a player to be sacked for kicking a cat then straight way players need to be sacked at many other clubs for for the far more serious offence of.....racism.....because a human beings feelings or physical/mental welfare is higher up the punishment scale than an animals......
....it's a can of worms is all you are opening up here thinking you are being righteous .....wouldn't be surprised if black players walked away from the game over it if they did sack him or give him a stupid ban.
By calling for Zouma to be sacked or to get a longer ban than is given out for racism it will simply state that a cats welfare is more important than a black person being abused.
You can't call for shit where the punishment for other worse things has been crap.

...yeah, yeah, yeah, but at least *I* don't kick cats, so that makes me superior on every societal level to professional footballers.
Again, I ask, how is animal welfare being improved by this debate?
It IS all about caring (and SHOWING we care) for animals, is it not?

It’s a unique case, fortunately. We don’t have any cat kicking cases to compare it to. Still think it’s just whataboutery from Antonio.

Should say….Terry got that punishment 11 years ago when the world was a far less hysterical place. Its perfectly reasonable to think if the same happened now, the punishment would be far more severe

John Terry got a 4 match ban & lost the England captaincy for racist remarks to Anton Ferdinand. Zouma hasn’t been banned.
So, unfortunately, other than the craven need to link absolutely everything to racism somehow, Antonio didn’t have any point. At all.
And the suggestion that a man who dresses up as a snowman and ploughs through brick walls spends his time driving to work musing over Luis Suarez’s boot deal is absolutely risible.

Have to laugh when people who don't understand the point Antonio is making call HIM thick.
Read what Westside has to say.
If you don't understand him either, just call him thick, too.

'Racism comparisons not helpful' Kick It Out CEO Tony Burnett said: "Zouma's behaviour was clearly unacceptable and I'm sure the RSPCA will thoroughly investigate and update the public in due course.
"We have seen some people draw comparisons between animal cruelty and discriminatory abuse. Both are wrong and it is not helpful - victims are not in competition with each other.
"With any incident of abuse, there should be a fair process and those actions should have consequences. But consequences should not mean complete cancellation. For some people, no punishment is ever enough and comparing incidents will always divide opinion."
So I thought we had a winner with thickest cunt at the club award... seems like Antonio is pushing him close.... he should stick to dressing up as a snowman and smashing brick walls up...
